News 24 Tonight

I'm doing the paper review on BBC News 24 at 11.45pm with Nigel Nelson from the Sunday People if anyone's interested. Had a day of mowing the lawn (which I loathe - shirt off, iPod on - best to visualise it), buying second hand books and finishing off my Guide to UK Blogging which will be available at the Party Conferences. Tomorrow 9 holes of golf, followed by 90 minutes of footie as West Ham play the Villa. Last year we won 4-0 with Marlon Harewood scoring a hattrick. Wonder if the two Argies will play.

Iain, will your guide to blogging be put online at some point in the near future?

Yes, I'll upload it as a PDF on my site next weekend.

I hope you humiliate Piper's rabble Iain. What a brilliant day for footbal it is today. Shite utterly routed and Arsenal 17th with only 2 points from 3 games. I think I have a nose bleed coming on.

Iain, I teach politics at A-Level and have recommended your blog as an essential way of knowing day to day what is going on in political life. Your blog is excellent and I do hope that you continue with it when you become an MP/Cabinet Minister/PM.

I don't agree but my friend says your picture looks a little like the late, great Brian Moore.

Visualise it? I'd rather not?

Speaking as a Villan, we will turn you over this time!

It would be more amusing if your guide to blogging were only available on paper.

Iain! The second tranche of seats is now closed.Come on and give us a clue as to which of the Constituencies you have applied for.Methinks your blog should be the first to reveal all- it must consolidate its reputation of the first scoop.

Dizzy, I thought of you today. I assume you're well lashed by now.

Anonymous 7.46 , thank you very much. Hope your students like it! As for your Brian Moore comment, he was a great hero of mine. But I hope I don't look quite that old yet!

Anonymous, 9.53 Indeed!

Inquisitiv, rearrange these words. Business Your Own Mind.!!! I am quite capable of ruining my chances without any help you from you, thank you very much!

Mike, yes, it's almost finished. Fellow bloggers from all parties have a mere 24 more hours to bribe me before it goes off to the printers. I first envisaged it as a four page leaflet - it's now developed into a 32 page pamphlet! It will be distributed free at the Party Conferences (all of them). I'm looking for

My God Iain the shirt!
Last time I saw a pattern like that was on a Ricahrd Whitely tie.

I saw you for the first time tonight, or at least the first time I've been aware, and I will be watching again..but that shirt...reminds me of 70's NHS pyjamas that have been put in the wash with something red...

Come on you Villa.

PS I was at Upton Park last year - Iain, you boys played Ok, but 4-0 was v flattering.

God my head hurts this morning. At least I'm awake for MotD so I can watch it all again.

.......Me too after our glorious win up Newcastle. Chris Coleman is a genius to do what he does with such limited money, and Routledge was superb... and he only came on because of the injury to Bullard.
My mate is a Spurs fan and is sick as a dog! Happy days!

Did any body else notice how terrible Blair looked when he was standing next to the Iraeli Prime Minister. He had the palour of a corpse about him. He looked extremley edgy, maybe he was dying to run to the nearest toilet.

Good luck on the golf course and with the match, had a great day of football yesterday with Everton winning (forget who they played now, NOT) and am now off to golf myself, some weekends make it all worth while.

The only thing that could make it perfect is if TB did the honourable thing and resigned.

Oh for a perect world!!
